Another SGIA show is over and the industry buzz is that the SGIA show is now, more than ever, a digital graphics show.
Many have suggested to us that the textile screen printing presence seems to be declining every year. Screenflex finds it hard to argue with this point of view. We continue to attend the show but it is our impression that fewer and fewer Canadian textile screen printers are bothering. The few Canadian Textile printers that we met at the Orlando show last week were mostly there for a very specific purpose such as meeting with a specific manufacturer. Printers tell us that the old days of walking the SGIA show to see the latest and greatest in textile screen printing are gone.
We have for some years now been recommending the ISS Long Beach show to our textile screen printers. In our opinion, Long Beach in January each year is the do-not-miss show for textile screen printers.
